Hi isma,

Thanks for your interest!

Currently, no high-end modeling package (3ds max, Maya, Lightwave, Rhino, etc.) is supported.

However, there is someone here (Koba) who's working on a Blender exporter, and someone else (craouette) who's working on a ppModeler exporter.

Integration of toxic with high-end modeling package is planned, but as stated in the Roadmap page, will happen later this year.

Cheers,
François

Hi there.
I wanted to ask whether implementing a plugin for gmax is planned, or if not, whether it's any use trying to convince someone here to make one Wink
I mean, gmax plugins are very similar to 3dsmax ones and the additional work when changing an existing 3dsmax plugin for gmax compatibility shouldn't be too much. And after all, gmax is free, so it's much more charitable making this render-engine gmax compatible than it is for all the costy high-end stuff, which are being used rather by people who can afford non-free render engines and a great number of people who, umm, *cough* *whisper* didn't spend any money on getting those.

BTW: I only just downloaded toxic; haven't even really tried it so far, but it makes a far better impression than any of the other free-rendering stuff I've tested so far Smile Thank you, guys Cool

TOXSI beta will be released soon. This exporter will translate scenes from XSI to be rendered in Toxic.
